Quilled Flower Card

Hi guys!

Today I'm gonna tell you about my new passion, quilling!! :D

Here’s a picture of the first quilled card that I made. Made it just for the fun of it. 

So I have something to share with you guys about quilling. You can find loads of quilling supplies in the market, such as quilling tools and papers.

But the good news is, you don’t have to buy any of these to quill! You can just get some coloured papers and cut them into strips of about 4mm of width (it's the perfect size in my point of view) and as for the quilling tool, get a toothpick and cut a small slit in it. Below you can see my quilling tools made from two toothpicks or kebab sticks rather. But don't make em from a small toothpicks because the smaller it gets the harder you will find it to quill.

Valentine card

Hey guys,

Today I’m gonna tell you about the first order I got. T’was from a friend of mine for a V’day card.
The requirements were for it to be a white card with some bright blue design and it had to be simple with nothing written on it. So this is the card that I came up with.

If you look closely you can see a rose embossed in the heart. :) (Click on the picture to enlarge) 

My mom says it’s too simple. But I simply love this card! In my opinion it's elegant! So I guess there are two kinds of people. The ones who like simple cards and the ones who like complicated cards with lots of designs. Hehe.

Valentine card - Gothic

These are the one of the Valentine cards that I told you guys about. :)

 I made this one for my other half. I've always wanted to make a Valentine card with a goth theme so thought I'd make it this Valentines.

This is an origami heart.You can find a lot of YouTube videos on origami. I also made a card with an origami shirt. I will post it soon! 

I wrote this inside the card. Saw a stamp like this when searching the net and I loved it. It gives a personal touch to the card.

Handmade Gift Box

Hi guys,

Valentine’s Day is in the corner.  So I thought of posting something that you can give as a Valentine gift.  And it’s super cute! Please click on the image to enlarge. 

My other half gave this to me as a present on our anniversary some time ago. This was in a larger black box and it was filled with white paper roses just like the red one but slightly smaller.

Birthday Card

So yeah, a Birthday card again! January is the birthday month , what to do.. hehe.. I have lots of birthday cards to post and i will post two today.

I made this one for my sister. She likes the colour purple and I had this matching wrapping paper (the hearts are from that)

Pinafore bag

Jean bag

Today I decided to share a jean bag that I made.

I made this bag from a denim which was too small 4 me. This is the first sewing project I undertook. :) Had to go through a LOT of disasters, with 3 broken needles and the seam ripper becoming my new BFF. A great project to practice patience ;) So anyhow, love the way the bag turned out in the end!

Here are some tips if you are planning to make a jean bag.

• Don’t be lazy to hand sew when necessary. Otherwise you’ll end up with a LOT of broken needles. And also, be sure to use a strong needle if you are too lazy to hand sew.
• Choose a denim with a nice material. The material makes a big difference.
• And there are lots of tutorials on youtube on making jean bags.Go through them before you start out.

  This is not the exact colour of the bag though. Its a bit lighter than this.

  You can also use some of your old belts to match your outfit. 

I also made a pencil case from the same denim. It didn’t turn out that good. (I’m not a professional in sewing.. Not yet anyway  ;)  ) Learnt a good lesson though. Always sew along the guide lines. Don’t  sew without any guide line to make sure you’re sewing straight, or the stitches will end up crooked. hehe..
